Does anyone know if any suppliers produce and sell a weld in kit to baffle a RV8 sump.
I have a spare sump and was thinking of baffling it over winter.
I appreciate you can buy them ready and its not an easy thing to get right, hence the request for a weld in kit.....

I have just cured what I believe to have been a slipping liner on my 4.6. It suddenly developed a heavy knock, checking the shells proved they were ok. Stripped the engine completely and took the block down to Chesmans, where it was heated up, all the liners were checked and number 3 pulled straight...

Disco 2 and P38 Range Rover heads. Compression is set by the piston dish so without measuring them you can't tell. As for cam again unless you can find a number then it could be anything. Not saying that it's not a Griff engine but who told you it was a Griff engine and what proof did they supply? ...

Can the oil cooler inlet/outlet ports just be blanked off?
Looking at the diagram in the manual it looks like the oil goes through the cooler first???

I have sat the serp inlet manifold on the engine with no gasket, and the bolt holes dont line up, so I must assume that the ports dont either.
So as I see it I need to measure the measure the same point between the heads and then machine some off each face of the maniold.
Have to get measuring......

Valley gasket for decked heads?
Does anyone know of a way to adapt a valley gasket for use with a block that has been decked? Obviously the heads sit further down the V now. Also, the new manifold needs to sit lower as the bolt holes dont line up(and therefore the ports), is there a way of calulating the amount required to be skim...

Inlet manifold porting
Can anyone recommend a place to get an EFI inlet manifold ported?
It is a standard 4.6 inlet at the moment.
Any ideas of the average cost?
