Serpentine intermediate cover

Can the oil cooler inlet/outlet ports just be blanked off?
Looking at the diagram in the manual it looks like the oil goes through the cooler first???

The oil runs either through the cooler (or bypasses it on a pressure relief valve), then into the filter, where the main pressure relief regulates the pressure.

So you can block off the cooler, and the oil will then run through the bypass instead. It might be worth fixing the bypass permanently open.
