My 2 pence.....

Post by fastco »

Hello been using Rhoads lifters for 30+ years in all types of American V8 have had 0 failers & they do exactly what they say they will do on the tin

Yes Rhoads are a tad ticky @ idle up to prox 3000 RPM , about the same tick sound level as a soild tappet cam'd engine is..in most cases slighlty quiter.

When using Rhoads we use a high volume high pressure oil pump this reduces lifter bleed down & tick sound @ low RPM's

We have used original Rhoads & the new V-Max Rhoads lifter with great sucsess in street & track & drag race engines.

If you cannot afford to roller roller cam your engine.. Rhoads lifters and a good quality hyd performance cam is your best choice. IMO

Built this FORD 428 CJ engine for US customers 1967 Shelby GT 500 / 10+ years ago
Cam Isky 280 Mega with Rhoads lifters.. idles @ 650 / 700 ... pulls like a freight tran to 6500 RPM

UK customer called me with the same engine in his classic 67 Stang and wanted to know should he install Rhoads & Isky cam in his engine...?
Many people told him.. do not use Rhoads liftters there noisey & don't do what they say they will do.
Sent the man his complete engine kit & with Isky & Rhoads.... it was love @ 1st tick 8-) said he'll never load any other lifters in his engine..... luv's them Rhoads. ( Hello Graham .. 8-) .)

Regards Daryl

Mmm cant argue with that FE, although i have yet to hear a Rover V8 sound anywhere near as quiet on Rhoads lifters  like the way you have picked up some English sayings there
