Evening all,

Whats the thread size in the cylinder head for the inlet & exhaust manifolds on a 3.9 Rover V8...?

I'm in need of a helicoil or 5...!

3/8 unc for the exhaust and I think the inlet is the same

They are both 3/8 UNC.

Typically there is enough depth of thread in the heads to use longer studs / bolts on the exhaust if you clean/tap them out. The inlet is of course at an obtuse angle so you have to be really careful running a tap down them but I'm pretty sure there is quite a bit of room in them to use 1/4" longer bolts as well.
