BW65 Inhibitor Switch Location

Post by bigdawgv8 »

Hi,

Probably a stupid question!

Can anyone tell me where the inhibitor switch is located on a BW65 auto 'box?
Need to wire it up and get this thing running!

Cheers

Martin

From memory :( it sits behind the selector arm for the shifter, hard to get and normally worn out or poorly working, i changed to the american methos of wiring the inhibit through the brake switch with a relay, foot on brake to start engine :)
So thats where it went !

Not all applications for the 65 box have an inhibitor switch actually mounted on the box itself, some have them on the gearlevers in the car. That said any box has the boss for the hole to allow one to be fitted on the box, as said above, it's fitted over the selector rod where it comes out, normally on the LHS of the box.

Thanks for the replies.

I guess mine was fitted to the shifter.
Anyone know where I can get a switch to fit the 'box?

Cheers
