T5 Input Bearing

I'm just about to shim the input shaft bearing on my T5 as I'm changing the bearing retainer. I was wondering if it's an 'easy' job to replace the bearing at the same time?

Is it lid off, shaft out? Or do the rollers in the end of the shaft all fall out in the box?

Any ideas?
