Nice warm day. What did you do ??

I was supposed to be starting an engine strip.
But while I was working an overnighter last night, the washing machine decided to drop a shed load of water everywhere and flood the laundry room and hallway. I'm just glad the wife noticed before she went to bed. otherwise the house would have been underwater.

Took me an hour to realise the bloody drum bearing had moved out of its housing by about 5mm and caused the bottom rear seam of the steel drum to wear a groove about 4mm X 80mm in the bottom of the drum housing.

It took me five hours to get the drum bearing back into position and to do a repair over the hole with some epoxy and some strips of plastic cut from a filler scraper.

So its back together now and waitnig for the two pack to harden.
Hopefully the wife will be able to wash again by noon tomorrow.

If it works I'm fine. If it doesnt work, thats 300 quid out of my new forged piston budget for a new machine!!

I've only managed to get the car up in the air and drain the fluids so far today. But the good part is while the wife has been at a pals house doing washing. I've made a dent in the 12 pack of ice cold Bulmers original in the fridge!!

And the next one beckons..TTFN
