Yup! Damn anti roll bar again! I was using an sd1 front aocver with a remote filter and mocal oil pump base but i've changed to a 3.9 serp front cover and can't use the pump base.
Because my engine bay looks really cluttered i wanted to do away with the remote filter but so far it's not looking possible so i'll need to get a take of plate for the pump and new oil lines to suit the remote filter and new front cover BUT i'm hoping someone knows of a filter that may fit!

P5 P-6 filters are the shortest filters available But as JP says they arent recommended by many people. Never used them myself so cant comment. Should also say I am assuming they didn't change the filter thread and boss on the serp.

R5 is pretty small....
Pretty much any filter with the correct thread will do...
Im using a very small and no doubt crappy Citroen filter on my LS1 engine. Same size as its supposed to, so guess it cant do any harm.
It normally came with a tpyically odd 13/16" thread, which made sourcing a filter impossible.
I just changed it to M20, and now filters are a doddle.
