oil - what to use????

hiya all,

Time for on aoil change on my tuned 3.5 EFI v8...and what oil to use?

Last time i sed valvoline racing 20w-50....at £18 per gallon.

Now its only available as VR1...fully synthetic @ £25 per gallon.

Bearing in mind that i need 7.8 litres, as i have a trap door sump.

Anyone have some alternatives to recommend?

Castrol, Duchams or even Halfrods classic. There is Lucas oil as well but I think its going to run at the same price if not more than your Valvoline which I don't think is a bad price to be honest. What price quality?

Like you said it is normally 25 quid gallon however is is not synthetic.
Most of the people running V8's in Cobra's use the stuff.

There is a thread running at the moment about a cheap source of oil.
