KENLOWE FANS

Post by mike-b »

Had an answer to my e-mail today - after a wait of over 10 days - from Kenlowe fans.
It was stated that Kenlowe will no longer be offering advice about their fans. It seems the directors have decided that in 2016 they would concentrate on the `Volume original equipment to industry`.
What that tells me is if I am not prepared to purchase thousands of fans from them I can sod off. They seem to have forgotten that big orders are just as easy to cancel as singular ones are.

So much for customer service. These AU Falcon V8 thermos will outperform Kenlowes anyday and are easy to fit (just trim the plastic shrowd with a sharp pair of cutters suit your radiator).

I have them fitted to my 4.6 SD1 and they keep it cool on even the hottest day here. The EL model Falcon V8 fans are even more effective, though slightly bigger, I have these on my V8 Disco.

The fact that they are shrouded and will draw air from across the core, unlike directly attached fans will make a huge difference.

I stopped using Kenlowes years ago - because if they got mud on them, the blades would snap off and puncture the rad.

I would fit a pair of the biggest fans you can fit in there - gives you and element of redundancy (I use dual relays and fuses) and you can always turn one off if it's to much.

Thank you both for your comments ..... seems I would be making a mistake if I had bought Kenlowe fans anyway.
Had a look at that web site they look the `Dogs`. If they can be fitted to an SD1 then they could be made to fit my Granada.
