green tune resistor for 3.9 non cat

Post by fenton »

Hi guys first post for me here so firstly hello to everyone.
I am just installing a 3.9 sepentine hotwire into a 4x4 comp safari racer that had a 3.5 with holley in it before it lost oil pressure.
Iam obviously not using cats and would like to replace the tune resistor with a green one .Ispoke to Rimmers today and they said they cant get any and the part is obsolete.
Has anyone got one they would like to sell me or does anyone no where i can get one.
Thanks in advance

Or maybe if somebody has one they can measure its resistance and you can get a resistor from Maplins.

Chris.

Aussie series 1 3.9 Discos had no cats or lambda sensors and a different tune resistor (sorry don't remember what colour). Plenty in breakers yards here like TRS - they have lots of old Discos in their yard. Wouldn't cost much for postage.
