After the recent "mishap" with the M5 engine I now have a spare full S62 engine with all wiring and ancillaries etc.
Once I've had it re-linered I want to look at bunging it into something. However rather than use the BMW ECU I want to go with a fully sequential aftermarket controller.
The question is this. The S62 has the double VANOS system (variable valve control) which according to the limited info I have is controlled using a number of engine parameters such as load, rpm etc. Can MS handle this or should I look to using a VANOS delete kit? Or could using a second MS to control only the VANOS be an option (I have an MS2 on the shelf)?
If I do have to go the delete route I dont think it'll be too much of an issue as I plan to put this in a lightweight car and use a Vortec V3 on it as well.

Think you'd be better to go MS3 for this - sell the MS2 if needed. (Should make over £200 on Ebay.) Pretty certain it will do double vanos. You'd likely get more info on

as M5s are common as muck in the US.

Looks like the MS3 will do vanos. That makes life easier.
speak to Phil (daxtojerio) he offers (or was) discount to forum members on ecu's etc,
Phil supplied the MS that's running in the cappa,
