Thank you tone it does help me quite a bit I don't know if I should go for just the fuel ecu for simplicity and keep the dizzy for the aesthetic look or if I should get rid off it and have the wasted spark system. Semi sequential fueling or fully sequential fueling.
At the moment it depends on cost how much I can save up and also how much wiring up off the system is invloved as my electrical knowledge isn't that good the more simple the better

If it's any help, I started out fuel only on my SD1 EFI (changing the Lucas ECU to a MS 2 V3) and later added EDIS, so getting rid of the dizzy. And EDIS gives more low speed grunt by allowing an optimum advance curve.
Only very simple alterations were needed to MS at the change, apart from software changes. And of course an extra loom for EDIS.

Sequential injection is going to cost more as you obviously need 8 injector drivers and MS3 as opposed to the two in MS 1&2. Whether it is worth it, I dunno - perhaps others would comment.

As soon as you change much beyond the basic Lucas configuration, it can no longer be true plug and play, as the the loom etc will require modification.

Basically, the P&P units are the guts of a standard MS transferred into a Lucas case.

Hello Dave efi I'm not too fused about edis as you say it requires a lot more modifactions to the wiring harness which I am not that good at the pay and play idea and keep the dizzy sounds a lot more better to me.
The motor runs good I'm just thinking that its the finding a good working Lucas ecu is a lot more harder every year that goes past.
I have had 3 Or 4 ecu's now all are either the wrong one for the car or wrong or have been damaged and can't be repaired paying land rover prices are a lot more then the car is worth.

All the sensors that various test equipment autologic snap on ethos rover gauge and also a DMV testing have been replaced and still doing weird and wonder full things while running the car. Might be wrong but it would be a part that I would never have to replace at all

I'd try and get hold (borrow?) a known good 14 CU before going to the expense of MS, as they are pretty reliable. MS won't cure other faults. ;-)

Oh I understand that fella the problem that I have is finding a good 14cux ecu to try because the problems are that the ecu needs around a week or 50 miles to settle down and settle and Learn the car. My idea is the mapping side off things on fuel maps.
