Just found the forum and thought I would join up as it is my intention to aquire a V8 in the near(ish) future. I've not long returned to the UK after a 3 1/2 year stint in NZ during which I became a v8 enthusiast, always watching the V8 supercars. I was even lucky enough to make it to a race in Melbourne. An awesome sight and an epic sound.
Not really sure what im looking for car wise exactly but I'll keep saving and see whats out there. I do like the Aussie V8 cars but I've now got some experience with working on older british cars so something like a Rover SD1 would be a possibility.
The closest I got to V8 ownership was a '87 Ford Falcon Ute but unfortunately only a 4.1 straight six. Bought it as a total wreck and gradually got it back to everyday useable condition. It was actually my daily driver for a while. Not a v8 but heres some pics of it anyway. Check out the manual 3 speed column shift!
