Bearings and Piston Rings

This is my first post as I have just joined the forum, so hello to everyone. I will shortly be rebuilding an engine for an sd1 that I own, does anybody have any preferences regarding bearings and piston rings? The rebuilt engine wont be a "wild" spec one, I would like to use the best quality components to save doing the job twice. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Just buy them from any of the main rover engine parts dealers and whatever you get will be fine. Personally I don't think bearings matter even in a tuned rover so just get the cheapest. Rings can be a bit different but in your case I think the standard stuff will do just fine.
