transmission fluid

Post by kiwicar »

Hi
The people who built my powerglide transmission recommend "racing synthetic" ATF for "performance applications" well that's helpfull! :? anyone recomend a brand of ATF that they are pleased with? It will have to be synthetic.
Also a recommendation for synthetic Hypoid 90 oil for the back axel would be good.
Many thanks
Mike

Cant comment on the auto itself. But in manual ATF boxes, Ive liked Fuchs ATF 4000

I just use Castrol B373 in my rear diff ( even though I dont actually need their LSD product )

Yup, 8.8" with a Ford Racing Torsen. So it doesnt require a specific LSD oil as it's a Torque biasing diff, so just gears inside.

Hi Stevie
That makes your oil sound ideal then, I'm on a spool, just gears for me too, just fewer of them! :D.
Many thanks
