Varley Red Top 30 battery, OK on a 5.3

Just curious if a Redtop 30 battery will have enough omph for a 5.3 V8, A mates breaking his car and offered it cheap, Anyone on here using one?

I've heard of a few on farb fed Ford 302's in Gt40 replicas - seem to work for them
Owner of an "On the Road" GT40 Replica by DAX powered by 3.9Hotwre Efi, worked over by DJ Motors. EFi Working but still does some kangaroo at low revs (Damn the speed limits) In to paint shop 18/03/08.
