clutch fork pivot and slave cylinder issue

hi all.

im having no luck with my conversion here now and the latest fly in the ointment is the clutch fork.

is there any way of getting the metal clip that goes round the ball on with the gearbox in place? or is it an engine out job?

im seriously losing my mind.

it also seems the slave cylinder i bought is wrong too. its too short and i had to open the holes out. is that right?
