Is it possible to get a signal for a electronic speedo from the abs sensor off jaguar xjs rear hubs

I'd guess so. With some form of interface. But whether is would be the correct frequency for accuracy, I dunno. Jaycar list a speedo corrector for electronic speeds - to allow for an axle ration change or different size wheels etc - so that might be one solution.

Yes you can but you need a unit to condition the signal. I cant remember the name of the one I have seem but it will convert up or down the number of peeks per revolution. Unless you have a really good reason to do so though you would be cheaper and easier buying a speedo that takes a signal off magnets on the prop or some where similar.

most ABS sensors (if not all) are magnetic sensors, and the frequency (pulses per revolution) is very high. Most electronic speedos require a square wave signal of much lower frequency. So usually a hall effect sensor, like a Honeywell GT101 is suitable, and pick up on say CV joint bolts or back of wheel stud bolts, is easier than trying to utilise the ABS sensor and signal. I have tried doing this before!

What gauge do you have?
My ETB electronic speedo can 'see upto 399,990 pulses per mile'.
My tyre circumference is 73cm - 225 35R 17.
1609m in a mile so my wheel rotates 2204 times per mile.
Even with an ABS ring with 60 teeth that would be 132,247 pulses per mile which is well under the max pulses per mile for my gauge.
Think it depends on your gauge?
