Additional oil feed for dissy drive

I have a pre sd1 engine. I was thinking about the additional oil feed to the dissy drive. There should be no reason why I cant take a feed from the oil pressure gauge line to this ?
I was thinking of a small line to tap into the front cover, with a 0.5mm hole in the end. I know it may affect the pressure reading, but I can factor that out when I do it. I was thinking about making the line up and experimenting with different jet sizes until I get what I want. This wont cause any problems with the rest of the system will it. Has anybody else done this??

I have a cover with this done down the garage. Its like a 1mm bore tube that it is plumbed in.

If your pulling the engine out I would change the cover to a newer one and you will save all the problems associated with the old cover
