Hi, was just wondering how I can mate my 3.5 RV8 to my Ford type 9 gearbox, and where I might find the necessary parts.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi,
You can do and a couple of people on here have done so in the past, however the Type 9 is not really up to the torque of a standard 3.5 V8 and it will have a short life. As the lt77 and R380 are still fairley common and cheep it probably will be the same cost to get one of those and fit it. An adaptor plate, if you buy it will be about £150 then you have to sort out the clutch, rebuild the Type 9, an old one definatly won't last ten minutes and sort out the starter/ flywheel.
Best regards
Mike
