Top hose iner diamter

Post by Will Reeve »

Hi, Anyone know the inner diameter of the top coolant hose? Need to add an insert to run the fan as the stupid insert into the hose one leaks too much. I wish I had kept my old one now! A guess would be 38mm?

Logic would dictate that it'd be the same as the smaller of the two spigots it attaches to, ie. the pump or the radiator, if there is indeed a difference between the two.

Which engine? My P6 is parked at present, I coud measure it up for you if that is the right one.
Cheers,
John

I've just whipped mine off as I wasn't quite sure what it was using! It's mostly SD1 but who knows what the radiator is from! I reckon mine is 36 to 37 ish, so should squeeze onto the 38mm T piece I have just ordered, this takes a M22 screw in switch you can get in various temp points. 14quid exc. from Car Builders.

Thanks.
