Possibly another ebay fraud?????

Post by HairbearTE »

Check this out. Wildcat heads, no starting price, vendor with zero feedback at all. And best of all the item is located in western isles, UK..
I've emailed the seller explaining that i have connections in that part of the uk and that cash payment on collection is no problem for me. Lets see..

He spells very well if he's a scammer!

I can't see anyone starting a wildcat heads auction for 1p though.

Bids are coming in 102 quid at the moment, if your worried about it then I would use the escrow service they wont release the money to the seller untill you have recieved the item.

Well, I've emailed the seller twice now asking if I could collect and pay cash - seeing as I'm not all that far away (and I like the scenery over that way!) and guess what..... NO RESPONSE!
Call me a sceptic, but if they ain't prepared to meet someone at their location and accept cash, then that smells fishy to me.
Anyone can find photos to suit a purpose and email them on claiming they took them.......
There is another listing that I'm pretty convinced is the same person, it's a very similar (but not the same!) user name, same location, again newly registered (on the same date!) with zero feedback. item 160085191449 , just the sort of thing you'd expect to find lying around the western isles of Scotland....???
Now, it could be legit and one name is registered on a home computer and the other on a work machine for convenience, but I'm still sceptical.

Both these Ebay auctions use the same name/id generator/rules!

Perhaps there is an unknown racing scene on Stornoway's roads? :D :D :D

sorry i'm way behind here, but usually sold items stay on ebay for some time.

ebay has removed both items already, i think your right about it being a scam
