Post by minorv8 »

What is the function of the rubber bushes, reduce noise and vibrations ?
Is it possible to bolt it solid to the casing ?

You can remove the bushes, but must be obviously replaced with with a different material, I made mine from Alluminium, you must loctite all the bolts, I seemed to spend more time under the car putting new bolts back into the remote.

Rimmer bros do a polybush kit for the remote which pretty much removes all movement it had with the rubber ones.

I have them fitted to mine and they're pucka!

I have no bushes at all and since I have a lathe and loads of aluminium I was planning to machine a set. Since the box in on the garage floor there will be no problems fitting the bushes. Thanks for the replies.
