Hi again all, Thankyou gentlemen, Re T5 Will be brand new, sorry but LT77 and its mate are not going in my car, I have had some bad reports of them. Good reports come thick and fast for the T5, however you guys are the ones that really know, hence the question, thanks for that.
Nitro eh !!!! Keep Perry away from me please !!!!! My main reason for a change of engine was ( and still is ) economy ..... well to a point anyway.
Hey I enjoy thrashing the boy racers in their 4-pot shopping trolleys.
Research came in with a Rover V8 for three reasons, small block, lighter engine ( old was 2.8 ford V6 and weighed as much as a skyscraper ) and due to the now overall weight of the car more mpg. It works for me and yes I admit a T5 is expensive and perhaps "over the top" however, reliability is always at the forefront.
Thanks for the tip about the internal clutch, I will take on your advice and go the "normal" way. Now I am stuck.
A T5 bell I feel is a must have, no plates behind the slush bell.
Gear stick position not a problem, plenty of space inside front to back.
Now I MUST get those pics up. Many thanks guys. mike
