I got a quote of £140 notes ish for a pair that should fit??
I got me £20 worth of cut metal from the metal supermarket and went home to break out the stick welder and the pillar drill.
2 hours later they were made and this was bolted on. I just need to fix the bump stop and I'll be good to go for North Weald testing next weekend.

Just an observation on some i've seen, chamfer the front of the box section, it's easier to tighten the nut and also gives more "skid" if it should dig in to a kerb or similar, other than that well done
And I hought when I saw this thread that you had been out cleaning up the down market alcohol establishments in your area!

I still need to trim the fronts and do some other tweaks. But they are ready for some test runs this Sunday. Hopefully I'll get enough time to trim the fronts before hand.

Hardly any roll and lots of G's off the line. I broke the drivers seat out of its mounts again as well

Do keep an eye on the front mount for the rear spring they are prone top pull ot with the amount of torque your putting through them.
Most of the US converters who use 302 ford lumps or similar, weld on some bracing which doubles the thickness at the bolt position and extends forwards along the box section for approx 12".
Good to see you sunday and meet up with Rich, I wasn't feeling that good as the bloody infection was comiong back yet again, so left shortly after 3PM.
The good news is I am going Bionic! I'm going into hospital next Sunday to have the plastic tube (Stent) removed from my right uretha, and replaced with some memory metal expanding stents, which hopefully will get me infection clear, and back on form again.
Then I've got to fix the MG, as you know I had an odd brake problem after setting out, and had to turn back and then drive up in the sludgemobile (Rover Sterling Coupe) anyway I've got a couple of Sundays after next when I'm in hospital to sort the brakes out before the Pod meeting and hope to see you all there and in much better form.
PS. Perry glad the slappers worked out for you! and Rich thanks for the burger.
