head gasket and valve springs

Post by sax player »

Hi guys.
Is it advisable to use a gasket paste with tin head gaskets? i have just purchased a crower 50232 along with recomended springs. i am a little concerned of the best springs to use. Leave the original double valve springs in place or replace them with the single crower springs,i believe the crower ones are cut down to prevent binding, but i may be wrong. The engine is a 4ltr tvr unit.
cheers shaun.

You dont have to use any paste with tins although I've always used Blue Hylomar on them and never had one blow even when running boost.
