i have in the last few weeks took over some1 elses project they started 10 years ago.
the engine was rebuilt b4 it sat for 10 years and in this time some1 stole the carb off it, this has aloud a mouse to get into the inlet manafould. and piss and poop, today i have tood the heads off to find there are a few pistons that dont look to good i cant get the engine to turn, is there some websites to order bits off new pistons and rings etc

Alan,

Before youi start ordering new parts i would recommend fully stripping the bottom end.

Get some decent releasing fluid, not WD40 and squirt loads of it in the bores and soak for a few days, are the bores showing any rust as this would indicated that the rings may be rusted into the the bores and it may be difficult to get the pistons to move in which case you may have to take out the crank and get fairly brutal with a piece of 2" x 2" wood and the proverbial big hammer.

The pistons may be savable but if the bores are badly corroded the block will need a rebore so new oversize pistons will be required.

Ordering parts direct from the states is quite easy, but the exchange rate is against us at the moment so you would need to compare prices from the uk and USA. Summit Racing is a useful source with a good website.

if you want to import bits I have a source who has a container/part container over every month, and is realisticaly priced.
