The XJ40 3.2 has a hp22. A XJ40 4.0 has a HP24.

I have bought a HP24 electronic from a XJ40 4.0 earlier.

No, and it will not fit. You have to use a torque converter, flexplate etc from a Range Rover (or Discovery, or LDV) and a RV8 bellhousing.

Me again !! is there any spacers to go on the flex plate to get it in the right position for the torque convertor, or does it simply bolt straight on ? i got a lead on the remaining parts and want to make sure i have them all, john
