I open this topic to explain to you my last internet misadventure and keep safe my respectability :

Two year ago I listed an engine item on Ebay. I was contacted by an guy from Australia who was interested by the item for spare. After some mail exchange I cancelled my Ebay auction in profit of this guy and an privat sale. The guy told me I had an friend who worked for Fedex and he can organize item collection and shipping.
One week later my buyer asked to me to organize the shipping myself. I proposed several shipping service and he taken economical service with insurance. Sometime later he contacted me because he told he never recieved the item. I opened an post claim. After post investigation item was not found in Belgium and post insurance waited new from Australian Post to track parcel before to refund indemnity. I did my post complain in view if there is an indemnity it was given to the addressee. I contacted my buyer and said I was sorry but Post didn't want offer insurance. After that I was never again contacted by the buyer.
Last week I was contacted by an mysterious newbee member who told me he lives in Canada and asks me if I have one similar item for sale to repear his own damaged item. I replied yes and we exchange several MP with pics of item. This mysterious member never replies if he want to buy the item.
Some days later I recieved an email in my hotmail box from my australian guy who told me I tried to sale for an second time the same item I never posted to him. The same guy I have no new from 2 years. In his email he asked to me to give back his money if not he threat me to go onto forums and say that I am a lying robber.
I replied to his email first I really posted an item to him and second I have more than one items in my garage that why I replied yes to canadian member. By proof I have pics of item I posted two year ago and pics of item I have always. They are clearly two different items. You will have understoof that the newbee canadian member is my australian guy.
After which he said I lied two year ago about the insurance when I say in my shipping quote mail there is an insurance and after I said at this time I was sorry but Post didn’t want to send indemnity. What is true because two years ago when we exchange our last email Post had not enough proof to refund insurance.
Nevertheless I remenber to him the post complain was done at this time so that if there is an indemnity it was for the addressee and Post has all his address to contact him. His reply was he was never contacted by Australian Post and never recieved indemnity... Again I threated me to go onto forums.
Now he says I broken the law of ebay with offering an privat sale to him.
Twice I proposed an compromise (either to send him freely the item I have or to buy the damaged item he has) and accepted to thrust him when he said to have never received nothing. Always he refuses it and continues to harass me to have money and threat to go onto forums.

I think I have been more than understanding with him. I chose to not yield to this blackmail. Yesterday I contacted my own lawayer and also my local Police office. They wait confirmation of my complaint to open an international judicial enquiry for Internet blackmail, threathen and extortion attempt. Blackmail and slanderings are both punishable by penal law court of prison penalty and fine. The fact I am in Europe and he in Australia is not an barrier for the Law.

People who know me and have already dealed with me know I am serious guy. Ever if there is problem with post I do more than my best to sort out and find an solution.

I would like to say in defence of Dimitri that I have had dealings with him in the past and found him to be very honest and reliable.

And I will echo that sentiment as well; we've had many dealings over the past year or so, and they've not all gone to plan either but Dimitri is very understanding and extremely accomodating!

Don't worry about this Oz guy he's blatantly trying it on mate.
