its car specific and not fuel injection specific so a hint to the car would be good. It only usually kills the fuel pump anyway so if the pump was running its probably nothing to do with it.

Pass as I don't know the cars  but I am sure someone will be along shortly who will know exactly where it is.

Hi
On my k reg Vogue se the fuel pump stopped working, it wasn't the inertia switch, the wire to the pump ran between the underside of the boot floor and above the fuel tank, eventually it wore through the insulation and underseal and shorted out to the underside of the boot floor. Burnt out the rear loom with it. worth a check this hasn't happened here.

could also be the over run switch/valve has packed up ...

that switches the fuel pump on/off controls the relay that switches white/black wire that goes from ECU pin1 to the coil NEG side
remember it's only a bodge if it DOSN'T worK

the white/black wire wasnt doing anything so it was the ecu not turning it on, so obviously there was no power going to the purple/white wire.

i recon this sugests either the ecu is broken, or its not running the engine for some reason like the inertia switch has been triped.

this was a vogue SE to.

the black/white wire needs to be connected to the NEG terminal of the coil or the fuel pump won't run
remember it's only a bodge if it DOSN'T worK
