Identifying the carbs I have fitted

Post by russ spake »

Hi, I have a Stag Mk1 with a late P6 engine fitted (74-75), engine number 45115644D and comp ratio 9.25:1. The carb tag states the number is AUD623L (the 'L' is for left hand carb I assume?), but I don't know what sort of carbs these are. I want to tune them as the engine's still misfiring and I thinks it's mixture related as the timing's now set properly. I'm looking for tips on tuning and I need to confirm the carb requirements. The inlet manifolf number is 613577 HIF6, though I realise it may not be the original for the carbs, or the carbs original for the engine for that matter! thanks. Russ
