Vanquish,

Check the clearance of the pushrods to the holes in the cylinder head. They have been known to rub at certain postions during the valve lift cycle causing a squeaking noise not unlike the one you describe. You can also check the sides of the pushrods for evidence of 'rubbing'/shiney patches. Particularly possible if you have a higher lift after market camshaft fitted.

A known production issue even with standard camshafts due to core shift in the haed casting process.
