Airtex AW1018???

Post by bak2burbles »

Just purchased this water pump off of flea bay, new, boxed for £13.
Its "apparently" the one Real Steel recommend for rv8 kit cars & the like,
Have any of you more knowledgeable guys heard of it? All google throws
up is that it fits a Buick Riviera!
Have I wasted my hard earned 13 quid!!

It does, and a lot of other 80s Buicks - could those be the ones with the Buick V6 that shares parts with the Rover V8?

Which engine have you got and what vehicle?

If the pump you have is an early Buick 215 it will fit an early Rover P5/6 or SD1 engine, but you will need a short front crank pulley and a corresponding alternator and cradle.

If it's a Rangerover engine you will probably need the later type pump.

Kevin.
