what did you use for a release agent, wax or PVA?

I used the specific release wax for GRP moulds and I applied several coats and it was well shiny when I finished. I also used PVA on top of this in the areas where I thought I might need extra help releasing, on the base part around the throttle body intake area. It was this throttle body intake area that suffered the most of the paint reaction.

odd, it wouldn't have surprised me you having problems just using wax as it really inst recommended for beginners. You need to build the wax over days but the PVA should have worked fine specially with a bit of hot water between the form and mould.

plenum chamber fabrication going very slow at the moment here's a couple of photos showing the mould inside and out. I have done heavy duty sanding inside to remove parts of the original plug that did not release.
