4.6 Rover composite head gaskets.

Post by ratwing »

Are there any particular brands that are considered ‘better’ or any that are best to avoid?

Certainly years ago, Payen would have been actual OE fit and quality

Elring, REINZ also if they do them would be the same.

That's across most brands. Whether it's still the same today or if they still offer them, not sure

Rimmers seem to offer Genuine Land Rover gaskets, Elring and a couple of other brands.

Just asking because some years ago I had problems with a well known brand (Elrings, there was a batch where the composite part was too thin so although they sealed the cylinders, oil leaked from the valley side and dripped from the head/block joint) and want to make sure I don’t get caught out again.
