Torqueflight Transmission fluid vehicle jerking but not moving

Hiya!

I've got an old 1978 RV with a Chrsyler 383 engine in and I believe its a torqueflight Automatic Transmittion.

It was sat unstarted for about 5 years + i had engine issues that were related to the carb needing cleaning but am not running into a trans issue.

If I move through the gears the vehicle will jerk into gear as if its ready to go but not move. If i put my foot on the Acellerator it will again jerk but not move.

I have checked the trans fluid. The Low light is on for it but on the dipstick it appears to be at the correct level so not sure if the dipstick sensor is broken or it needs filling.

Another thing is the handbrake was left on. I released it and climbed under and think i've released the propshaft break the cable went too. Could the jerking be related to stuck brakes? or is it another issue I may not have thought of..

Will say not that mechanically minded but willing to give stuff ago if I can
