I presume if you need to drill/machine your flywheel you also need to factor in re-balancing.

If it was just re-drilling fixing holes for a clutch...really shouldnt make any odds...and of course you'd assume it was balanced to begin with.SuperV8 wrote: Wed Oct 31, 2018 11:27 am I presume if you need to drill/machine your flywheel you also need to factor in re-balancing.

As for machining, again it depends what work was being done. I'm sure most people years ago who had theirs lightened by removing loads on a lathe never bothered re-balancing, which for that work really should be done.
TTV seem to offer flywheels for the larger diameter clutches, or maybe they make one of their clutches too...give them a shout

I have a twin plate quartermaster unit and custom EN14 steel button flywheel/starter ring that I might be persuaded to let go. All engineered as a matched set as a direct replacement for std SD1 components. Spec'd to go on the back of a 5.2 wildcat motor. Bought it many years ago but never used, so long ago that I can't remember the exact spec LOL. I can dig it out later and do some pics if you're interested.
Rover Powered to 11.63sec @ 128mph.
Re: Rover 3.9 turbo, clutch recommendation?
Hi, what money would that be? Im after a unit that will handle about 370bhp, it sounds like its more clutch than I need, thanks for the offer....
