Ls1, 2, 7????? So which ones what?

Hi all,

I know an ls1 is 5.7 ltrs and an ls2 is 6.0 ltrs and a ls7 is 7.0 ltrs but what about the different variants of each?

From what I understand there are engines of the same capacity but with different outputs and if so how do I distinguish between them all?
