Vac units again... not a rant this time I promise!

Rimmer list a lot of different vac units for different types of rover V8, but RPI just list one that will work on the entire range of dizzys from '69 to about '94.

Does this mean I can use any of the rimmer part no's on my dizzy as they're essentially all the same.
I ask because I have sourced a good second-hand vac unit, but it's from a points-type dizzy. It was only £12 so I ordered it and it should be here tomorrow!
It's part no UKC1674, whic is apparently used on Triumph Stags too :?:
