I was wondering if anyone can help please. I have got an old Carter Thermoquad and am changing it for an Edelbrock 750 manual choke. I have been comparing the 2 and am a little stuck as to what should go where and what isn't needed.
The Engine is a Chrysler 440 used in an American RV if that helpes at all.
I have done my best to source what each pipe does (I may have got some wrong so sorry if I have!) The connections are as follows:
THERMOQUAD
Front
- EGR Tube
- Canister Purge Tube
- PCV Valve Tube
- Vacuum Control Tube
Back
- Choke Vacuum
- Fuel Inlet
- Vapour Canister Tube
- Bowl Vent Solenoid
- Either Heated Air Inlet or Power Brake (This is a small pipe it isn't a 3/8" pipe like the edelbrocks power brake port)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDELBROCK
Front
- 3/16" Timed Vacuum
- PCV Port
- 3/16" Manifold Port
Back
- Power Brake Port
- Fuel Inlet
Can anyone advise please? This is my first attempt at replacing a carb I am very patient so hopefully that helps

Kind Regards
Joe
