1uzfe immobiliser

Post by thegreatleveller »

Hi, this has probably been asked before but I cant find the answer so here goes. I have a 1998 Ls400 vvti engine for a conversion. Ive been sorting out the wiring and found the dreaded immobiliser pinouts on the ecu. Assuming the donor car hasn't been squashed, what parts will I need? just the key and immobiliser box or do I need the whole barrel? Thanks fellas

Good question...have you tried some of the Lexus type forums ? It may be possible to have the ecu reflashed to remove it ?

if you dont have the donor car, you could need a lot of parts, and for them all to be matching from same vehicle, or have someone re-program them to your ecu/immobiliser.

Presumably there will be a receiver near or in the barrel though which you would definitely need, and the key/transponder to match

I have a complete LS400 (no engine tho) sitting here, so if you need any bits give me a shout!
RIP MGB V8 .... served me well as a learning curve.
