Diff oil question

Hi all,

Can someone tell me what oil I should be using for the Capri LSD diff? All I'm getting from most sites is 'refer to main dealer' not very helpful!

Many Thanks
Kev!

Capri rear axle identity question

Hi guys, This probably has a simple answer but I'm a bit confused at the moment and would appreciate some help! I have an LSD diff from a Capri in my car currently and want to know what it is.. some sources say its a Salisbury, some say Atlas, or are the two terms interchangeable? It certainly has a...

Hi guys, Quick message to say thanks for the check lists and things to look at. Brakes now working again. Turned out I needed new calipers after all. One was really badly corroded and had seized, the other was working but not really in much better condition, so forked out for two replacement ones. J...

Hmm,

ok, had a good look at the front calipers and they are pretty corroded and gummed up. The brake pedal retracts fine, so think I'll invest in a couple of caliper overhaul kits, give them a good clean and see what difference that makes..

Cheers all!

Just an update really.. I've had a bit of a problem with fuel delivery in the past few months, so after doing some reseaching (i.e. asking questions here) I tested lots of bits out, this unfortunately didnt give me a solution but it did give me a broken bolt in the inlet manifold which wasnt really ...

3.9 EFI Fuel Pressure

Hi Guys, I've had a problem with fuel delivery for a bit now, which first looked like dodgy electrics, but thats ok now and I was advised that the problem could lie with low fuel pressure / damaged fuel pump / fuel regulator... After having checked all the bits and pieces it looks like the problem i...

Another Fuel Relay Question

Hi guys, Yet another person with fuel pump problems. I've got a 3.9 with EFI (14CUX) which was running quite happily until recently. Its developed a problem whereby there doesn't appear to be enough fuel reaching the engine.. but I'm not sure... So, I have been checking all the circuits out. On its ...

I had a very similar problem with my V8 as well. that turned out to be a bad earth. It was a right pain to find, but once fixed the problem stopped. I assumed that as the wiring loom had been pulled about and modified a lot with the fitting of the new engine there would be problems like this...
