I'm going to clean it up and use some sort of two part to seal the crack.

And, i'll let you know how it holds (or not)

Cracked horizontally between the forward pair.

The car sat inside without any coolant in it over the winter but there would have been something remaining in the block.

I have an electric water pump & controller, a Serck rad from a Renault 21 diesel with twin fans - I'm not convinced fully the rad will be up to the job.

As the title, how much coolant should I be looking to have in the cooling system of a 3.9 Rover V8...?

The engine is in the back of my autograss car that I bought part finished so the cooling system will be built from scratch.
