Hey Chaps! Been a lurker around here for some time.
Currently working on my first V8, a 1986 TVR 350i.
The car needs quite a lot of work to get back on the road, but is fundamentally sound
Having been around Rover V8's of my Dad since I was a teenager, it's a real thrill to own one myself

Hey Chris.
Total brake rebuild, clutch hyrdraulics rebuild, fuel injection system stripping and cleaning/rebuilding.
Then lots and lots of cosmetic tidying. Interior is a bit ratty in places, cracked lights in places. New roof.
Fundamentally though, it's solid in all the right places. Hoping to have it on the road for no later than May next year

Presumably it's a standard Vitesse engine? or did TVR tweak it?
Chris.

Looks like something;s been altered as the cold start injector is unplugged?

Well spotted!
We did it deliberately as the poor thing is currently trying to fuel itself silly, especially from cold!
Fairly certain the extra air valve is stuck, but then nearly everything else related to the plenum needs sorting too.
Planning on stripping the whole manifold and plenum off, down to the valley gasket, and then build back from there.
There are a great many old, hardened hoses in the engine bay, all of which need changing.
There could well be some vacuum leaks causing trouble too!
I do believe that it is basically the SD1 Vitesse engine.
With the free-flowing exhaust and tubular TVR manifolds it should be somewhere around 195-200 BHP when its in fine fettle
