Turbo & Blow Through Carb resources

Quick question to those who like to be blown
Can anyone recommend any books and/or resources that would give info on a blow through carb setup?
Im having stupid (and silly!) thoughts about sticking a couple of turbos on the 502 8) and blowing through a modified Holley - but its in need of research at the minute - nothing silly, a 200 / 250 increase would be nice
Had been thinking of a progressive Nitrous system, but am now swaying more to a bit of FI action
Cheers
Iain

Hes running a ProCharger (same principle though!) could well be worth a shot
Im looking at more of a DIY setup for this, wont be pretty, but hoping it will do the job, all a bit of a steep learning curve

you can of course run the carb in a closed plenum, so pressure is equalised and you dont need a special carb, but you do need rising rate fuel pressure so you dont push the fuel back along the fuel line,

I'm sure boostedLS1 or stevieturbo will chime in soon I think they've both had a fair bit of experience with blown carbs. I know Demon Carbs over the pond can tailor carbs to your engines.

Iain, I have just remembered my mate has a FULL Gale Banks set up for a SBC, Porsche Racecar Turbos and wastegates, and the BIGGEST air to air intercooler you have EVER seen, it would be hard to lose on an Iveco let alone a Chrysler

I used to blow through a Holley 600DP. Then modified it to a 465 SP as the 600 was too big for the Rover engine I was using.

These things can be tricky to set up to work nicely. I would contact Jay, and find out who he got his carb off. In the long run, it will be easier to buy one from a specialist, who has an idea of how to set them up properly for boost, right from the word go.

As doing it yourself, will be a slow and tedious process.

I dont think I'd go for a yellow carb like Jay did though lol.

Thanks for the info
Im no longer in a rush to get the car finished, lifes to short to get stressed over a car build....as for yellow...mmm :D mine (if I do go this route) will be 100% barn find / DIY so im probably looking at a nice rust / corroded alloy look :P

I understand where you are coming from......but between petrol costs etc for testing....

It will likely work out cheaper in the long run to buy a carb that is already almost setup for your application.

Often, trying to save money, can cost you in the long run. Believe me, Ive thew away thousands over the years.

That said, if you want a 465SP that I was using, its still here lol. It has a plenum already made for it. Maybe not the neatest in the world, but it works fine.
Car would obviously require re-jetting etc to suit.

it was a 465 vac carb, that I fitted the 600DP fuel bowls to. It ended up as a 465 SP, with a larger 50cc pump jet.
