Picked this up today, its a 96 4.6 autobiography. Fairly tidy, showing signs of wear.

Faults known at purchase:
Heater O rings gone
HVAC not quite right - possibly blend motors
Leaking oil from upper end, somewhere around the valley.

Coolant didn't seem to pressurise, but really need to get it out for a drive - but its currently SORN. So I've not actually even test driven this

Nice (quite like mine in fact!)
Somebody has fitted the later lights, which I always think makes them look better.

I did the heater o-rings on mine. A pain, but a holesaw in the dash makes it much easier! Also worth changing the temperature sensor on the water pipe whilst you're doing it - it stopped the HVAC fault light coming on on mine.

I guess you know about this mine of information:

Got the o-rings and I'm also a proud but skint owner of a Blackbox Faultmate MSV Extreeme - so will be testing all the blend motors on the weekend.

Ferking 'ell. You must be crackers!

You don't need to go that far to get to the o-rings!

Did you have to drain the air-con?

You do if you want to fix the blend motors, which is actually caused by a stiff heater box causing the blend motors to burn out.

Anyway - I've gone and bought another P38, so this one is for sale if anyone wants a very sound restored P38 for the winter.
12 Months MOT, Emissions were exceptional - so the engine and cats are sound with overheats or block worries.
