im having problems with the clutch in my hilux, it had one fitted 7000 miles ago and is slipping a bit when you drop it a gear and put your foot down. the fibres in the clutch are starting to lift and go fluffy. the clutch is as big as i can fit in my bellhousing but just isnt up to the job. i have heard good things about helix clutches and wonder if anybody has had experience with them. the hilux is used for road/mild off road only and want a clutch that is not silly heavy when you push it. any ideas

I use a helix clutch, Good service and sensible prices,, I had a custom made friction plate made and on my dorstep three days after placing my order, thats good service, Give them a ring and talk over your problem, I think they will sell you what you need, not what they can screw you for.

that is good to know as i need something that not only works but lasts too. can they make a custom clutch if i supply the patterns (old parts) for drive plate and cover, or is it off the shelf items. i did talk to the helix on the phone but they passed me onto mardi-gras motorsport in silverstone who is a dealer. if it is not to cheeky what sort of clutch did you go for and can you remember how much you paid as i've no idea of cost at the moment.
i have a 3.9efi rv8 and w56-c toyota gearbox by the way
