Car Insurance

Hi All
We all have to have car insurance but we don't like the stupid quotes that we get sometimes right?
I have just sorted mine out with Classicline Insurance who cover the NASC.
For my car with an agreed value I have paid just £215.00 including UK breakdown cover.
The people there really know their stuff and I have been very impressed.
Whilst I'm not the youngest person the prices are very very acceptable and you dont need to provide an engineers report.
My buddy up in Surrey with a V8 Moggy £120.00 with an agreed again.
The guy to talk to is Darren Coote.
Tel 01455 639000
cheers

I like them too. Unlimited mileage and agreed valuation for about £220.00. Good people.

Meant to say
Ask to be insured under a modified classic rather than a custom.
Anything older than (Tom)

five years is considered as a classic for these guys.

They have said to me that as long as the car is 5yrs old or more then it is considered a classic for insurance purposes.
Got to be worth a phone call to them.
Cheers
Paul off to bed soon with me little hot water bottle and a cup of milky Ovaltine

After seeing this post I phoned them up today as my insurance is due on Friday, my present company had quoted £303, Classicline gave a quote of £175. As long as I can get an agreed value looks as if I'll be changing insurers. Thats on limited mileage of 3000 miles and as a second car which should be ok.
Very useful post Paul
Cheers Andy

that's not true.
I got a very good quote for my MR2.
But I've just tried getting a quote for a 1996 Golf GTi and they wont insure in with a classic policy.
S--t. I've already bought the car.

Well I tried. I called Classicline spoke to a lady - left 2 telephone numbers and sent an email. No response to anything.
So I guess they have a full order book?

Don't give up
I just got a quote from them that I'm taking up
Knocked £80 off last year and will also cover my car on track for any event organised by a club of which I am a member (Not racing - track day stuff) No additional fees for track days but Excess goes from £250 to £1500

The bird at C/L is about as much use as a handbrake on a canoe!!!
I tried 3 times before I spoke to Darren and he sorted out everything really quickly for me.
As Ian says,dont give up.
