SD1 selector forks

Post by NorthernBloke »

Anyone know where I can get some - 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th - as mine are badly worn.

Rimmer brothers stock the 1nd/2nd (although they only do that with the shaft etc which I don't need) and 5th but not the 3rd/4th.

Have you tried Ashcroft Engineering? They must have a source as THE supplier of re-con LR boxes - the SD1 and LR boxes are identical internally as far as I'm aware.

Cheers Russ, I'll give them a shout if need be - I may have found a donor box (fingers crossed)

If you really get stuck for the selectors, you can braze them up, I have done it before and I never had any problems,

Yep, that was another option Ian but...

I found some on Rimmer Bros listed under the TR7 gearbox (part numbers match - not cheap though) so sorted :D

Get these and the new synchro's and the box will be as good as new 8)
